How it usually begins
I picked up a camera, and everyone told me I should follow my passion….
That isn’t how my wife and I started. My parents wouldn’t buy me a camera. I didn’t have one in college.
But I did marry a wife that came with Hasselblad’s 📷 (the Rolls Royce of film cameras). And the rest of our 20-year history of photography is that – history. Over that time, we have done so much photography with people and tough lighting setups at weddings.
Business
But for me, Eric, I love business and entrepreneurs. I love the unknown and the challenges ahead. I especially like food. Food is one of the great blessings on this creation, and I have been working hard at cooking beautiful food for my family for 20+ years.
Problem
You have a problem. It is too much to ask a restauranteur to cook, manage, innovate, and take care of photography and social media. You can buy back a bunch of your time with us.
Solution
I created Click the Menu as a dedicated focus of our very successful and well-loved portrait studio – Keepsake Portraits. Commercial work as become so much of what we do.
Imagine have the images you need for your ads and display boards and menus. We have gotten very efficient at shooting food and can get through a variety of shots in a very short amount of time. 🕐
PS I didn’t marry my wife because she came with Hasselblads. I found that out after we were married.
A couple things I really Like
I enjoy coffee and I try numerous experiences wherever I go. One of my favorite beans to order is the beans from The Roasterie. Exquisite air roasted beans – fresh from Kansas City 🏈.
A few other notes about me – two daughters and one adorable puppy named Kepler (degree in Chemistry and a science nerd – which is why precision commercial photography is a love of mine.)
🇫🇷 I speak a little French and love French cuisine. 🥐
Travel is a passion
I have filmed three short films overseas.
Myanmar
I spent 11 days on a filming project and this image was capture one amazing morning traveling up the river to a village. It was one of the greatest trips of my life. The food, the people, and the images I will never forget.
